Singapore shares close 0.2% down on Wednesday

SINGAPORE stocks completed 0.2 for each penny bring down on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index dropping 5.08 focuses to 3,000.94.

The blue-chip record was overloaded in front of United States president-elect Donald Trump's first question and answer session since July, planned for late Wednesday night Singapore time.

Around 1.75 billion shares worth S$1.19 billion altogether changed hands, which worked out to a normal unit cost of S$0.68 per share.

The most effectively exchanged counter was Natural Cool, which rose S$0.041 to S$0.164 with 122.7 million shares evolving hands. Different actives included Noble Group and Equation.

Washouts dwarfed gainers 233 to 206, or around nine down for each eight up.
