Glove industry expects RM14.3b exports for 2016

KUALA LUMPUR: The elastic gloves industry is required to record RM14.3bil in fare income for 2016 with more grounded development found in the second half because of rising wellbeing mindfulness and flare-up of ailments.

The Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA) president Denis Low said on Tuesday he focuses on the glove business to record RM14.3bil in fares his year.

This would be a 9.1% expansion from the fare income of RM13.1bil in 2015.

"Malaysia is relied upon to send out an aggregate of 133.6 billion bits of glove this year," he told correspondents at a question and answer session at the eighth International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition.

For the main portion of 2016, the elastic glove industry recorded RM6.4bil in fare income.

Low said the elastic glove industry would regularly encounter better deals and development in the second 50% of the year.

"Despite the fact that the world economy is relied upon to back off, we trust that the interest for elastic glove would keep on sustaining particularly with expansion mindfulness in nation like China and India and additionally episode like the Zila infection," he included.
