Ranhill secures RM15.9mil NRW contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Ranhill Holdings Bhd by means of its backup, Ranhill Water Services Sdn Bhd (RWS), has secured a RM15.9mil Non-Revenue Water (NRW) administrations contract from Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd.

The agreement, for a 12-month time frame, is for adjusting Kota Bharu Utara, Kota Bharu Timur, Kota Bahru Selatan, Bachok, Pasir Mas, Tumpat and Tanah Merah in Kelantan, it said in an announcement here.

The undertaking, which is booked to begin in late August this year, will cover around 70% of aggregate channel associations in Kelantan. The undertaking is required to lessen the NRW by 5.8% from the pattern which at present stands at 47%.

President and CEO Tan Sri Hamdan Mohamad said Ranhill had dependably been in the cutting edge of NRW diminishment administration and the agreement restoration demonstrated its abilities in delivering unmistakable results according to the customers prerequisites.

"Since our contribution in 2013, RWS has figured out how to diminish the states NRW level from 56% to 47% or a sparing of 40 million liters for each day.

"As a consequence of this new contract, we can expect extra reserve funds of RM12mil every year for the state," Hamdan included.
