Shares on Bursa Malaysia open higher

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened higher today on the back of enhanced financial specialist opinion. 

At 9.05am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) remained at 1,753.28, up 3.87 focuses, from Monday's end of 1,749.41. 

Prior, the record opened 0.01 of-a-point higher at 1,749.42. 

On the more extensive market, gainers outpaced decliners by 220 to 81 with 222 counters unaltered, 1,199 untraded and 16 others were suspended. 

Turnover remained at 286.79 million shares worth RM92.72 million. 

In a note, Kenanga Research stated, the benchmark list kept on ascending on the back of enhanced financial specialist assumption, which saw more grounded outside store inflows in the course of recent days. 

"In the event that the FBM KLCI figures out how to quickly recover the 1,750-level, it could ride on the current solid energy towards 1,760," it included. 

Among heavyweights, Maybank added seven sen to RM8.97 and TNB rose two sen to RM13.74. Open Bank fell 20 sen to RM19.94 and Sime Darby facilitated three sen to RM9.27. 

Of the effectively exchanged stocks, Managepay Systems was up six sen to 29.5 sen, Luster Industries increased a large portion of a-sen to 13 sen, PUC Founder added two sen to 17.5 sen and Trive Property crawled up 1.5 sen to 16.5 sen. 

The FBM Emas Index expanded 24.63 focuses to 12,393.37, FBMT 100 Index was 22.63 focuses higher at 12,046.22 and the FBM Emas Syariah Index added 33.26 focuses to 12,785.51. 

The FBM 70 was higher by 12.04 focuses to 14,404.34 and the FBM Ace enhanced 77.76 focuses to 5,689.64. 

Area astute, the Plantation Index progressed 43.83 focuses to 8,247.25 and the Finance Index added 18.47 focuses to 15,807.69. 

The Industrial Index lost 2.65 focuses to 3,276.32. 

The physical cost of gold as at 9.30am remained at RM169.59 per gram, down one sen from RM169.60 at 5pm yesterday.
